Miami Cerebral Palsy Students and Staff Thank Galleria Farms for Participating in Their Horticulture Program

Students from Horticulture Program Visited Galleria Farms.

On May 9, 2018 the students and teachers from the Horticulture Program paid a visit to Galleria Farms. Galleria Farms is a leading grower, importer and distributor of premium, fresh-cut flowers with farms in Columbia and Ecuador. We were welcomed by Mr. Neil Gold, Vice President of Galleria Farms. Our visit was truly an educational one as we were shown a video showcasing their green houses and the variety of different flowers they grow. We were also given an opportunity to tour their large cold storage area where the flowers are kept in order to maintain their freshness. The employees at the facility care for and pack the flowers to be distributed to various vendors such as Winn Dixie, Publix and Wal-mart.
