Ideal indoor houseplants are of ‘heavy mettle’ — durable enough to withstand low light and irregular watering. The plants that fit this category seem to handle abuse fairly well, and can adapt to a variety of conditions. One characteristic that seems to be consistent is that these plants are slow or slower growers then other indoor tropicals.

Cindy Hanauer comes from a 4-generation heritage in the floral industry with ancestors opening their first florist shop and greenhouse in 1875. She has held leadership positions in every aspect of the floral business: Field Training, Product Development, Visual Merchandising, Category Planning, Financial Strategy, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Transportation and eCommerce.
